tunneling with winVNC: connection closed before password prompt

To whom it may concern,

I am using tunnelier in conjunction with WinVNC to work on my office
computer (Windows 2000) from my home computer (Windows XP).  I am
able to start a tunnelier session successfully, as indicated by
the "authentication complete, listening on ...." message in the
tunnelier window.  However, when I try to start winVNC viewer, I
am unable to log on successfully when I type "localhost:2" in my winVNC
viewer login window.  I am never even prompted for a password before the
client-to-server forwarding channel is closed (as described in the
tunnelier window).  My firewalls are disabled, and there are no error
messages in the tunnelier log window.  Could you please tell me what could
be going wrong?
