Tue Sep 9 16:48:00 2003
I know it's bad form to reply to your own posts, but I fixed it.
"AllowLoopback" shouldn't be in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ ORL \ Default
as it says in the FAQ, it should be in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ ORL
> I've managed to knacker my VNC setup by downloading all the latest
> patches from Microsoft.
> Last night it was working fine after downloading from WindowsUpdate to my
> Win98SE server.
> Today, even though I've enabled local loopbacks in the registry on the
> server, I'm getting "Local loop-back connections are disabled". The client
> is running on XP pro, and the problem started _after_ updating from the
> WindowsUpdate website.
> I am able to telnet the vnc server.
> The network transport is the Intel Anypoint wireless LAN.
