VNC Java client on Linux does not acess VNC server on Windows: AUTHENTICATION FAILED

Does anyone knows why a Java Client running on Linux (Konqueror or Mozilla 
Browser and Sun Java environment) does not authenticate properly on a VNC 
server running on Windows?
The stand alone VNC viewer operates perfectly. 
The VNC Java client connects to the server and the screen seems normal. But 
the password is always denied.
