strange problems with the vnc server

So you set the user id to someone different than the LocalSystem
account, right?
Looks as if the system user doesn't have the right to access the vnc
directory. You should check the acl of the vnc directory to see if the
SYSTEM account has access or any restrictions (direct or indirect).

If you start a service with any user credentials other than localsystem
the service is not allowed to access the desktop.
