Mixing up vnc desktops?

Dear all,

When, on my RH 7.3 linux box, with vnc-3.3.7-1, I start several
vncservers, say desktop :1 and :2, and the corresponding viewers on a
different computer I sometimes get the effect that a program I start on
desktop :1 appears on desktop :2 and vice versa.

This is not dependent on one and the same user starting the desktops: I
also get the effect (sometimes, strangely enough not always) when user A
starts desktop :1, user B desktop :2, that user A's application is drawn
on desktop :2 of user B.

Is this a known bug, does this happen to others as well? It did happen
to me several times, though it is not consistently replicable. Anyhow,
it would be great to have a work-around.
