Automate input and benchmarks

I have two questions.  I have searched the archives and not found anything 
useful yet.  I want to do testing using xvnc and a windows client and want 
to get an idea of response times.  So my questions are:

1. Is there a way to automate input from the client to the server?  Or 
rather, how might I go about doing this?

2. Is there an option in vnc to measure response times?
