Any ideas? VNC freezing via Netgear Router...

OK, I lowered my MTU but still no joy,still getting the very frequent 
freeze-ups.

My cable box very rarely gets renumbered, maybe once or twice a year.
My router is doing DHCP to my PC but it always, always has the same IP.

No firewall beyond that on the router. Most ports are blocked; the 
appropriate VNC ports are open; it does NAT and sends VNC to the correct PC.

There's also a firewall at work, which I control, and it is not interfering 
with VNC. It's a very seriously UNDER-worked box :-)
My last job had some other sort of firewall which I didn't control.
