vncviewer on Debian Linux run error message

here /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.2 is a symbolic link to
/usr/lib/libstdc++-3-libc6.2-2-2.10.0.so which is part of the
package libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2;

this is on debian unstable.  I may have made the link myself.
vncviewer and X module work without a problem.
