My problem is with the VNC viewer and not the server component.  I installed 
UltraVNC and tried their viewer.  I get the same thing, very choppy when 
even just moving windows around.  I installed their special driver as well 
(but I think this may be to help the server and not the viewer).  Either 
way, with the driver installed as well it didn't make any difference and is 
still slow compared to running a Linux viewer on the same hardware.
