Installation for public use?

At my school, (where I'm an aide for the tech dept.) We're looking into 
VNC.  Works great for our servers- allows remote restarting of apps etc.

Now, we would like to be able to view the various desktops running in 
our building.  But, we must make it hidden that it is even running.  In 
order to do this, we need to remove the taskbar icon, and also (if 
possible) hide it from the 'Task List' in 95/98. (Hit CTRL-ALT-DEL once)

Hiding the system tray icon is top priority.  I remember someone saying 
they wanted this for a public library out in Colorado, too.

Is there a different version of VNC for this purpose?  Alternatively, 
what do I do to remove it from current version of VNC?
