Win2000 - Cannot remain connected with a VNC server session

Hi all- I've been using VNC viewer on and off for a few years and have started installing it in earnest on my desktop clients to help me get to people far away more gracefully.   I just browsed through the archives to see if there was mention of the specific issue I'm having and I didn't find anything that looked like quite the right fit... A problem I've seen on several Win2000 machines is that after the install of the VNC server is completed (not as a service) and I get the user to plug in the password over the phone, I cannot maintain a solid connection with their PC using viewer on my PC or any other machine.  On my end I plug in the IP, press enter, and see a black outline of their desktop, maybe their desktop for a second or so and then the connection just closes.  No error messages or anything else of the like.  I'm not sure what this has to do with exactly... Any thoughts? Any help greatly appreciated. Lee
