Didn't get any replies on this question with my last post. Will post it
again and hope
someone can help.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,

I had VNC installed on a W2K workstation behind linux firewall, and
everything worked great.

I installed the latest version of RealVNC on the system, and then when
I tried to connect from a remote system all I
would get was "your connection has been rejected" after logging into
the web based java veiwer.
When I tried the VNC Viewer application, VNC Viewer would quietly stop
running after I entered the password.

After searching and searching for a solution to the problem, I decided
to un-install the new version, and re-install
the version that had worked before. And now, it will not work as
well.

I have checked the ports, the password, turned off the service and
tried running in app mode/vice versa, and
still cannot connect.

The Linux firewall has not changed at all during this process, and I am
using the same ports as I always have. so I should not have to change
it.

Anyone have any ideas? I thought it might be screen resolution, but
that is not it.

HELP!

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
