vncClient from Win 98 can't connect to vcnServer in Win XP

Per,
I can ping the XP machine from W98.
For a moment I thought I have the solution. I think I
understand the problem little bit more.
1) I did not lock my Win XP and try to connect from
W98 and I can connect to it.
2) I locked my Win XP and try to connect from W98 and
I can't connect to it.
So is there something I can do to avoid this problem.
Oviously I can't leave my Win XP machine unlocked when
I am not around.
