conection failed win 98 adsl rooter

Hi all:

Thanks to Floyd and Phill for their answers.

I am not being abble to connect from the viewer. I have a win 98 SE with a dsl
connection in an ethernet formed by a rooter and my pc. The rooter ip like
gateway is by example 174.20.0.1 and the pc is 174.20.0.2

Would it be a problem, I mean the fact to be behind a rooter can make my pc
invisible for the VNC application?.

This evening I was trying to reach my pc from another, I wrote the ip of my pc
at the viewer prompt but I only got the message "failed connection" or
something like this.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong.
