The answer is yes.  The only issue I forsee is if your place of work employs
a firewall, that is, no connections from the outside world.  So you won't be
able to connect on demand, you'll have to run the Viewer in listen mode,
then before you leave work add your computer as a client.  It's not as
difficult as it sounds, I swear it :-)
