The VNC port is 5900, 5800 is the mini webserver for the java client.
Are all 3 computerson the same network? Can you ping computer 1 from
the other two?

Subject: Unable to connect to a server

Hi,

I am new to VNC and I have been having a very simple problem really but
not able to get out of it. I am trying to connect 3 computers all
Windows 2000 machines, and all running both VNC server and viewer.

Computer 1 is the problem. I can not view it from either of the other
two machines. All machines have static IPs. When I try connecting I get
the error message 'Unable to connect to the server'. I looked at some of
the archives with similar problems but none really helped me resolve
this. The other two machines are working perfectly well. When I telnet
to vncserver, port 5800, the telnet window disconnects almost
instantaneously (on all three machines). I see no message with rfb etc.
Can anyone help?

Thanks a bunch.
