Ctrl-c kills session in Win 2K

I'm running vncserver on an Nt 4.0 sp 5 system and vncviewer on a win 2k
sytem. When I'm viewing one app (toad) on NT and do a ctrl-c to copy a
highlighted line the viewer goes away. It's as if I'm sending a kill to
he window. This doesn't happen all of the time. If I restart NT the
problem goes away but comes back again, sometimes days later. Sometimes
it doesn't kill the window, but when it starts acting up it will kill
the window about 70-80 % of the time.
This seems to only happen when the toad application is the active window
but it may be happening in other apps and I have been lucky so far.
