Install problems Ipaq+Desktop w2000

Somebody please could say something about this:

After  Install VNC server on my w2k desktop, and the client on my Ipaq 3979,
at the first run it seems try to connect, but Ipaq hooks....Soft reset for
Ipaq and restart for w2k......And never again seems to try to connect. (Even
neither  show any kind of errors)..

You should know: I'm  connecting by serial cradle, and a kind of connection
should be, because if I take of the Ipaq from the cradle, show no connection
error. Only in this case.
