vncviewer on Solaris CDE 2.7

VNC-listers:

I am quickly becoming a real fan of VNC. So much so, that I would
like to use it as the default interface to my Sun workstation.

What I would like to do is:

- start a CDE session on the Sun using dtwm through vncserver
- remotely view it using vncviewer (so far, so good)
- use the Solaris vncviewer to view the Solaris CDE
  desktop (running on the Solaris vncserver) - while sitting at
  the same local Sun.

So far, I have tried a variety of configurations on the local
Sun to no avail. I have a sense that I am missing something
simple here. Any ideas on how to do this?
