WinVNC 3.3.5 Service Helper drops the connection

I have WinVNC 3.3.5 installed on several Windows NT 4.0 Server Service Pack 
6a servers, running as service. I am experiencing the following problem with 
one of these servers: a few seconds (2 or 3) after logging (three virtual 
finger salute, type in user name and password, click OK) the connection drops 
and no further connections can be made until the WinVNC service is restarted 
(stop/start sequence). I think it is related with the service helper, so I 
disabled "winvnc.exe -servicehelp" in registry's Run key, and the problem 
solved. But I prefer the service helper running, so I am wondering if anyone 
knows where resides the problem.
