realvnc 3.3.5 still cannot read/display xmms playlist font

I don't use a font server, they've always been more trouble than they're
worth IMO :)
My font paths are correctly configured in vnc.conf. For that matter,
other apps display fine.

Do you suggest that vncserver may have a bug reading X11 fonts directly
and that I should install a font server and have it use that instead?
(if so, I could do that)

In this case, there is nothing cross platform, it fails even if I run
the vnc client on the same machine than the vnc server.
