Just a clarification:

If I'm understanding you correctly, you are referring to the
pop-up window that asks the user to 'Accept the WinVNC
Connection'.  If this is correct, this feature IS and has been
available in WinVNC for quite some time, although it is not
a menu option (yet) as is the case with Tight.

To use this feature in WinVNC or RealVNC, you simply need to
make the following registry setting to turn it on:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ORL\WinVNC3\AuthHosts="?:"

You may need to create this entry.  If so, it needs to be a
StringValue.
