Solaris Front key Question

I would like to get the Solaris Front key working in vncviewer.
I  run vncviewer in fullscreen mode on a solaris machine to view another 
solaris CDE desktop.

The front key does not work.... Alt-F3 does work.

If I run xev to see the keycode being sent, I see no activity when I 
press the front key.. (I do see activity for other keys)
Is the key being blocked by the local X environment? Anyone know how to 
make the Frontkey work?
