Bob,
It sounds like the password that you have currently set is the "Current
User" password. This is the password VNC uses when it's run in
"App-Mode" and it's details live in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER key in the
registry.
What you need to do is just start VNC in the App-Mode and then go
through the Start menu into VNC and Admin. Tools, then open "Show
Default Settings".
Once that opens, you should hopefully find that the password box is
empty, so just fire a password in and that will be that.
Hope this helps you,
Regards,
Daniel

Chris I saw your answer about restricting the end user from changing the
setting. When I tried
this it would not let me start the server again. It kept saying that
password was not set.
The password is set. Any ideas as to what is wrong?
Thank you for helping make
our service better!

Chris, see "WinVNC - The Win32 VNC server"
<http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/winvnc.html>. Find the third
instance
of "AllowProperties"; read what follows:
"If this is set to zero, the user is not allowed to view the properties
dialog and hence cannot change any settings, including the password.
Note
that this stops all global per-user settings. A valid password must
therefore be in force before using this setting, generally in the local
default-user setting. Local per-user setting."
Best regards,
