Actually a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) can be any colour you want - see
http://www.easydesksoftware.com/getit/Bsod.htm . Use at your own risk.

Another Useless Fact(tm) by Glenn.

Tiny Personal Firewall (http://www.tinysoftware.com/)

Personally, I think the most recent incarnation (v3) sucks big time,
though v2.15 was very good (and free).

Blue screen of death is the slang term for a Windows Stop Error, which
is, basically, a fatal exception. The kernel of the operating system
decides that it doesn't want to play any more (for whatever reason),
halts the system and displays some hieroglyphics in a very tasteful
white-on-blue colour scheme in an attempt to explain why it decided to
throw a tantrum.
