Can't connect to VNC Server

Hello, everybody,
As for testing purpose I've installed VNC Server v3.3.3r9 on a Win2000
Advanced Server (also running as PDC) and VNC Viewer v3.3.3r9 on a Win2000
workstation in a private network. There is no firewall or something like
that.
Both VNC Server (in service mode) and Viewer are running. I can reach the
VNC Server by ping and telnet (Port 5900). When I try to connect to the VNC
Server, after typing the password (as in the VNC Server settings) I get
messages like "Connection closed". So I cannot connect to the server.
It's the first time I'm trying to work with VNC, and I read FAQs and
documentation files. But I couldn't find a way to get a connection to the
VNC server yet. Is there a problem with Win 2000?
I would be appreciated if someone knew a way to help me.
Thank you!
Mario
