VNC/TightVNC on Win 2000 station

Does the service already exist? I've seen this message when running a custom
installation on a system that already had the base install (Service also
already installed)

Is there any program already listening on the VNC port(s) (default
5800,5900)? I doubt that is the problem though.

To me, it sounds like some sort of permissions problem...

Yep, still no luck. The program puts the info into the registry fine, but
you get the software couldn't be installed message.

You've probably thought of this, but are you installing the service as an
Administrator??

We cannot get either program to work on a 2000 station. Always recieve a
message that the VNC service could not be installed. If you go in & run
WinVNC app mode, the icon comes up w/ ip address. You can VNC out onto
another station, which is currently only Windows 98, but you cannot vnc into
a 2000 station. Any ideas would be appreciated!
