Help with XP Professional

Has anyone had success getting VNC to work on Microsoft XP Professional? VNC
installs correctly, however, if I use it to connect to another host, I
receive a failure to connect message.  I have attempted to connect to remote
hosts using the machines network name and IP address, both methods are not
