Not a rumor. OEMs are nolonger allowed to sell Win2K. You can still buy
copies in channel though.

Try
xhost +
as root, this should help. This allows everyone to make a connection
to your XServer - so only in private network a good idea. If you are
in a bigger network, you can specify a host by name to be allowed.
Look at the man page for details. Hope this helps...
