java.net.SocketException: Socket read failed

I have a internal newtwork and I've a VNC server and cliente. Ther IP number
of the Server is 1.254.0.1
In the cliente, when I use VncViewe, I just type 1.254.0.1 when is prompt to
me "VNC Server" and in the next step I type the password and VNC is running
perfectly....

But, when I try to use JavaClient instead of VNCViewer, I open my IE 6.0 and
type
http://169.254.0.1:5800/
So open the "VNC Autentification" and I type my password and click in
"OK"...

Instead of display the screen of server in IE, is displayed:

"java.net.SocketException: Socket read failed"
