Change default color depth

I currently use VNC viewer to manage a linux machine from my windows desktop. I have modified the /etc/sysconfig/vncservers file to look like:

VNCSERVERS="1:root"

 From the windows machine, I can now connect to display 1. The session is displayed in a very low color setting. I have tried creating a second display by running #vncserver -depth 32 :2. This works, until I reboot the machine or restart the vnc service. How can I set the default color depth for display 1 to 32? Thanks,

Greg
