What kind of hacks are we talking about? Is there a way to prevent them
from being used?

and then have your isp change your internet address and get a firewall going
since you just advertised your address and that you'll be running vnc for
which there are many hacks :)
And yes, youll need to run nat and establish a conduit on the router

Hi,
This is Deepak. I've just downloaded VNC and its
working fine on my Lan but the problem is to connect
my computer from outside / internet. My situation is
as under:-
We have six computer connected to each ohter using Hub
using internal IP as 192.168.168.0 Subnet Mask
255.255.255.0
Then the Hub is connected to Router (Cisco 677). The
public IP address of router is 203.122.40.50 and
default gatway is 192.168.168.254.
Now I dont know how to configure my router as i dont
have/aware about any software for router mangement.
Is there anyone who can solve my problem by giving
step by step procedure. I dont know much about router
etc.
Thanks
