A problem: not sure how to classify

Like William Hooper says, I'm pretty sure that even the windows
driver doesn't get the video info - usually all windows gets
is a blue box, which the video card overlays with the video
stream with DRI (direct rendering interface?). I'd be interested
in knowing for sure, though - could somebody post back whether
the video hook driver catches DRI stuff of not?
