Slow text typing whilst in a session..

Does anyone have this problem?, whilst dialled in, everything is fine, but
if I want to type a text message on the clients screen, for example
executing a program via start run menu the text takes forever to appear on
the screen very slllllllllloooooooooowww...

Is there any way round this???
