possibility to change server propperties after startup or on the fly?

hi,

when you have started a VNC server, is it possible to change its
properties (e.g. desktopsize, colourdepth) AFTER the VNC server has
already started?

i would like to be able to resize a VNC desktop that is already
running, without having to start a new VNC server. (reason is i have
quite different hardware where i want to access the desktop from)
