double byte char translation from Solaris 2.8 to W2K !working.

I'm having a problem displaying double byte characters from Solaris 2.8/9
system where I'm running vncserver.  The console displays on my W2K system
running vncviewer, however the Japanese double byte characters are not
being translated correctly. (i've attached a screen shot)  I set the viewer
to "/usr/dt/bin/dtsession &" in the solaris xstartup file.  Any one know if
there is a parameter that I can set for dtsession that will translate the
fonts correctly or is there something else I need to do?
