You need to set up a forwarding rule to forward port 5900 + your display
number (eg for display 0, 5900 + 0 = 5900. But for display 5 5900 + 5 =
5905) to the local ip address assigned to your win98 machine (machine
a). All of this should be performed on the linksys router.
That should work.

Subject: winVNC on twoWindows 98 computers
I am trying to access my Pentium III cable modem connected
computer--computer A--from a Pentium III DSL connected
1. I have installed winVNC on both computers as a service. Computer A
left on viewer listen mode--Computer A has a linksys router.
2. I have been entering the real IP address of computer A on the Add
Client option when I right click on the icon located on the Win98
3. I get a message: Failed to connect to listening VNC viewer.
What am I doing wrong?
