I am having a problem here trying to run vncserver on a unix machine.

WHen i try to launch fvwmc & in my xstartup file, comes a message telling that
display;1 cant open.

I have seem tons of questions like that on the mailist files, but couldnt
really got a reliable answer.  I am looking for this since last week and will
appreciate if anybody can help me getting back to work.
