what platform is the VNC "server" running on??

Hello,

Just curious if anyone has the SSH and VNC thing working. I am very
close (I can feel it). But, when I go to start the vncviewer (from
both Windows and Linux), it says "local loop-back connections are
disabled". Any ideas on how to proceed? I can ping 127.0.0.1 just
fine. Isn't that loopback address? I am following the directions off
the VNC site exactly (I think). Is it maybe a problem with my display
numbers?
