Hi all,
Brand new to this.
I need to work closely with a couple of NT boxes sited 400 miles away from
my office. I was there yesterday and the local staff had installed vnc onto
the machines and I could access one from the other - cool.
They installed vnc onto my laptop which came home with me. When I tried to
log in this morning I got an authentication error.
So, in the way of familiarising myself with the product, I then installed
vnc onto an NT server in my office and tried to log onto that, with no joy.
I have looked at the documentation and talked to the tecchie who did the
first installation and it appears that when I first-run the server, I should
be asked for a password. This did not happen. In fact, it became
automatically installed as a service. Some of the controls are unavailable
to me even though I am logged on as the administrator.
Any tips?
Regards
