Blank Screen exported from another machine

I export the screen from my Netware server to my Linux machine running VNC. 
This works great because I can then see my Netware console screen from 
virutally anywhere. I upgraded the hardware on my Linux machine, by 
basically moved the hard drive to a new machine. Everything in the machine 
was an upgrade, except the Video card. It might even have been a slight 
downgrade. I didn't care because I only run the machine in text mode and 
hit it through VNC for X.

Finally, here's my problem. Now when I export the Netware console screen to 
my linux machine, the exported windows show up all black. Everything is 
telling me it's the video card, but I want to make sure.

Anyone seen this before? Any ideas?
