high CPU utilization

I have a Winnt 4.0 server box running the VNC server (as a service). 
The version is the most current as of 10/1/01.  I expect high CPU 
utilization while a client is connected, but that level does not drop 
off even after client session is closed.

Any thoughts?  TIA
