works fine on my 7.1 installation, I am running 18 kde desktops out to
users, & running kde on the console simultaneously.

I just use:
exec startkde
one issue though.... If you already have kde open on
that computer with the same client it may not work
properly.... unless the most recent versions of kde
have resolved that issue... Tim?
