"Client Rejected" error

Hello,

I've just joined the vnc-list and I apologize if this is a FAQ.  I've
been using VNC for years with no problems, and now I have a problem.
I'm using the version 3.3.3 on Linux (Red Hat 6).  I have the default
xstartup file in the ~/.vnc directory.  (Actually, I had dchanged it,
but I put the original file back to make sure that wasn;'t the source
of the problem.

Now, every time I start Xvnc, I can connect with any client, but none
of the applications in xstartup, including twm, can start.  In fact,
when I connect with a client, I see not the plain grey background
specifies in ~/.vnc/xstartup, but the cross-hatch background that is
the X default.  *NO* X clients can connect to the X server (VNC
clients connect fine to the VNC server).

The log file contains lines like this:

AUDIT: Fri Oct  5 12:35:54 2001: 2635 Xvnc: client 1 rejected from IP 127.0.0.1
port 1354


Any help would be greatly appreciated!  I've appened an entire log
file to this message in case that is useful.
