Notification

Try using TightVNC.  It has an option to notify if someone is trying to 
connect.  It lets you set whether you want the default to auto connect if 
no response or auto reject if no response.  It really works nice.  A 
dialogue box pops up informing you that someone is attempting to connect 
and even identifies the IP address of the caller.
