Hi,
I installed WinVNC Version 3.3.3R7 on a windows 2000 professional computer.
I setup VNC so users are not able to change settings or password for VNC.
I ran regedit, went to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ORL\WinVNC3\default,
added a new DWORD value "AllowProperties" and value data "0". It was working
well.
Recently, I installed WinVNC Version 3.3.3R9, and edit the regestry by the
same way. From client computer, I ran VNCViewer. If value data set to 1,
VNCViewer working,
but user can change the passord from the server. If value data set to 0,
user is unable to change password, but VNCViewer not working, after typing
the passord, got error
message:"VNC Authentication failed!"
Does anyone have a idea how to fix this problem?
Thanks
Mindy
