Probably, you have installed TightVNC from RPMs that were prepared for
Red Hat Linux 7.x where font server is running on default. Please try
to edit you /usr/bin/vncserver and add correct font paths there.
Search for lines that might look like this:
# Add font path and color database stuff here, e.g.:
#
$cmd .= " -fp unix/:7100";
# $cmd .= " -fp /usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc/,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/";
# $cmd .= " -co /usr/lib/X11/rgb";
#
Comment out the first "$cmd .= ..." line and uncomment the second one,
changing font path if necessary.
