VNC Gateway Software

Another possibility, which does NOT provide as much
extra security as SSHD, but will work with Win9x,
is the SOCKS Java server - then you only need to open
one port (1080 is default), however you will need
either SocksCap32 or the Hummingbird Socks client
on your VNC client. I think there is a possibility
for some sort of user/password authentication in
it, too.

Well to bad they don't have an extra system lying around. I could
install linux and use it but alas they don't. Is there any software
that would work on win9x platform? Thanks.

Hi Greg!

The client machines can be win9x/ME. The Gateway has to be NT4/W2K/XP
for
http://www.networksimplicity.com/openssh/ to work. Well, you could try
to
install it, but I can't see it working really great.

All you need in that office is one NT4/W2K/XP or Unix computer.

Rachel
