VNC Gateway Software

Yah, you could put that openssh on windows on that gateway computer, and
make sure port 22 (or whatever you run the ssh server on - can be obscure
port) is reachable to the wan.

I have a linksys 4 port router which I forward port 22 to an old Aptiva 120
with win2kpro which I have access to. I use that computer as my ssh gateway
to my AMD system. I also use that 120 as a secure proxy server with which I
can access though ssh.

Anyway, this is how I access my AMD computer from work:

ssh -C -L 5900:suzyq:5900 mydomain.com

then I just connect to localhost

If the computer you want to access vnc on is the gateway you must allow
loopback.

At work I have a FreeBSD computer which gives me access to my entire lan.

SSH used to intimidate me, but it is really easy and very cool!

C U,

Rachel
