vnc over satellite

which version of VNC are you running??  Have you tried TightVNC
(http://www.tightvnc.com)??  3-4 seconds is a fairly long time, though...

Has anyone used vnc over a VSAT (satellite) system? The round trip delay is
3-4 seconds so screen redraws are very slow. Does anyone know of any
versions of vnc that address this long delay problem.
